Shirley Metcalf called the meeting to order.
The Treasurer Report:
After paying $64.05 to pay for the great she-kabobs that Dick and Joanne prepared for our summer
picnic. We now have a balance of $176.87.
Old Business:
Bob Meyer gave a report on the LaPetite Rouge cross country trip, if anyone wants more
information they should contact Bob.
Also, under old business, Shirley asked the group for a discussion on dues. She suggested that
we should decide whether we should keep the dues at $15.00 per couple (7.50 single) or lower them
to $10.00 per couple ($5.00 single). After much discussion it was decided to lower the dues back
to $10.00 with the understanding that if the club gets into a financial bind again we can always
raise them.
New Business:
Bob and Shirley announced that Tom and Karen Fuhr have agreed to be our new officers. A motion
was made to officially make Tom and Karen our new Club officers. There was a second? A round of
applause and congratulations were given to Tom and Karen. Gene Kaczka thanked Bob and Shirley
Metcalf for being officers for the past three years and helping the club to grow and prosper. The
Metcalfs were given a round of applause.
Debby Nikkari was welcomed as a new member.
Our next meeting will be on October 27th at 5:00 pm at Carolyn & Gene Kaczka. They will be
making one of their famous Texas dishes. Carolyn will do the calling for this meeting.
Dick and Joanne said they would like to host Thanksgiving, date to be decided later.
Tom and Karen Fuhr will host the Christmas meeting, date to be decided later.
A big thank you to Sue and Bob Gibbs for hosting and for making the phone calls.
