Business Meeting

POTSDAM APRES SKI CLUB MINUTES
Sunday, September 24, 2000
Hosts: Bob and Sue Gibbs

The first meeting of the 2000-2001 season was called to order (or disorder?) following dinner. Present were Dave and Tellie Bray, Jutta Fitzsimmons, Ron and Doris Frazer, Bob and Sue Gibbs, Gene and Carolyn Kaczka, Joan LaComb and Paul McGrath, Bill and Dorothy Mein, Bob and Shirley Metcalf, Bob and Susan Meyer, Russ Nelson, Bill and Cathy Petersen, Buckley Riggs, Jim and Margaret Thorp, and "summer (Snow Bird) members" Dick and Shirley Beane.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and the treasury report given: $156.45 was the balance at the beginning of the meeting, after paying $55.00 to the Partches for the "guest of honor" at the summer lamb roast.

There was no old business.

Under new business, Bob Meyer supplied details of the upcoming trip to La Petite on February 2-4, 2001. The cost will be $153 Canadian per adult, and a deposit of $20 US should be sent to Bob by the end of September. The same three cabins have been reserved. Those interested were asked to so indicate, and with the number replying affirmatively, both large cabins and half the small one are already filled.

Schedule of upcoming meetings:
Saturday, October 28th at Fitzsimmons' (5:30)
November at Meyers' (date to be announced at October meeting)
Sunday, December 17th at Metcalfs' (5:00)
January X-C skiing at Nelsons' (date to be determined).

Carolyn Kaczka volunteered as caller for the October meeting.

The president announced that payment of this year's dues was now in order, and it should be noted that Dave and Tellie Bray were the first dues-payers for 2000-2001! By the end of the meeting $105 in dues had been collected.

Thanks were given to Bob and Susan Meyer for their service as past president and secretary/treasurer, to Bill and Dorothy Mein for hosting the always-enjoyable lamb roast, to Dick Partch for providing the always-enjoyable lamb, and to the Gibbs for hosting tonight's meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Sue Gibbs
