The Meyers were thanked for hosting the meeting. Andy Casper and Angie Machinak were welcomed as new members.
Bob and Susan’s guest, Juergen Rilling was introduced.
Bob Meyer reported on the LaPetite ski trip. Because there were more wanting to go this year than lodging, Bob reported on the history of the trips when there were years one couldn’t get enough people to fill the reserved cabins, which then made it necessary to ask for people outside the club to join the ski trip. The majority of the group present felt that people who had been previously supporting the trip should have the first option to return; after that, take people as they gave their names. The only ones from last year who said they didn’t want to return this year was the Brays, and no one had heard from Buckley yet. Bob reported that the amount of the deposit was $20.00 American for each person, and that he needed to get the total deposit to Suzann by November 1.
Gabor was sorry he couldn’t make the meeting, but asked Dorothy to take a poll of which date people preferred for the Mt. Tremblaunt trip in March: the weekend of March 5&6 or March 26&27. The only ones present who indicated previously they would like to go were the Metcalfs, who preferred the earlier date. Dorothy will ask the others not present what their preference would be and let Gabor know.
A second call for dues was made.
The current membership list was handed out; discussion took place on who would qualify to be an honorary member; some members felt better if there were none. Discussion dropped.
Future meetings:
Susan Meyer and Joan LaComb said they would do the calling for the November meeting.
Adjourned.
Respectfully submitted, Dorothy Mein
