Another wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner a la Ski Club

Yes it was absolutely delicious!

What would a Ski club meeting be without "yet another shirt"

We bet you don't know who is wearing this one.

Minutes of the Business Meeting

Potsdam Apres Ski Club
Sunday, November 17, 2002
Hosts: Trish and Bill Lewis

Present: Dave & Telly Bray, Ron & Doris Fraser, Bob & Sue Gibbs, Gene & Carolyn Kaczka, Bill & Trish Lewis, Judy Lowell, Bill & Dorothy Mein, Bob & Shirley Metcalf, Bob & Susan Meyers, Dick & Joanne Partch, Bill & Cathy Petersen & Buckley Riggs

President, Gene Kaczka, called the meeting to "order" at 7:10 p.m. Bill and Trish Lewis were given our appreciative thanks for hosting this traditional Apres Ski Thanksgiving gathering. With turkey as the dinner’s centerpiece, this was yet another marvelous feast! Uncertain road conditions kept our number down a bit, but the twenty-two folks who ventured forth faired well indeed.

Gene read Dorothy Mein’s minutes from the October 20, 2002 gathering held at their home. The Kaczkas, off to Niskayuna to welcome their new grand daughter, wish to thank Dorothy for "subbing" so humorously. Motion to approve 10/20/02 minutes: Shirley/Doris. Minutes approved.

The annual Christmas Ornament Exchange/Party will be hosted by Shirley and Bob Metcalf on December 15th at 5 p.m. Shirley wishes to do the calling for this Christmas affair.

The "annual" Cross Country Ski Meeting will again be hosted by Russ and Heather Nelson. Dates are Sunday, January 12 or in the event of NO snow, Sunday, January 19. Plan to come to either ski or hike the Nelson trails at 2 p.m. with food, of the soup and sandwich variety, planned for 4:30 p.m.

Bob Meyer reported on preparations for the La Petite Rouge Ski Weekend; Friday, January 31 through Sunday, February 2nd. This year only two cabins have been reserved as opposed to the more usual three. Traditional Petite Rouge participants, though non-Apres Ski Club members, the Buchanans, the Nagels and the Batsons, have once again made this weekend’s cabin rentals feasible. Deposit is $20/person and cost per person is approximately $158.00.

It was suggested that the President make himself familiar with the Gift Exchange rules so as to be able to "referee" any gift possession disputes which are certain to arise on December 15th. Helpful club "resources" cited by some are Bob Meyer and Telly Bray.

Dick Partch wondered aloud as to whether anyone knew of Bill Hayman’s ski plans for 2003?

The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 7:30 p.m.
