Time to Snack and Socialize

The Master Carver at Work

It must be almost time to eat.

Yes it is!

Susan was so busy she was only a ghost of herself at times.

Getting Ready for the Business Meeting
Looks orderly -- can you believe it?
It must have been the tryptophan in the turkey.

Minutes of the Business Meeting

Potsdam Après Ski Club
Saturday, November 18, 2000
Hosts: Susan and Bob Meyer

The meeting was called to order by President Bob Gibbs at 8:01 p.m. Present were: Dave and Tellie Bray, Bob and Ellen Burns, Bob and Sue Gibbs, Gene and Carolyn Kaczka, Judy Lowell, Joan LaComb and Paul McGrath, Bill and Dorothy Mein, Bob and Shirley Metcalf, Bob and Susan Meyer, Russ and Heather Nelson, Louise Straub, and Jim and Margaret Thorp.

Minutes of the October meeting were read and accepted. The treasurer reported a balance at the beginning of the meeting of $301.45. Subsequently, $10.00 in dues were added, $14.00 was paid to Susan Meyer for tonight's turkey, and $100.00 was donated to the Potsdam Holiday Fund. (See below.)

Old Business: Motion was made by Gene Kaczka that $100.00 from our treasury be donated to the Potsdam Holiday Fund. Following a second to the motion and discussion, the motion passed unanimously. Gene volunteered to make the contribution on behalf of the Ski Club. It was suggested that in the future we might consider a matching gift set-up for our donation.

Susan Meyer distributed copies of her cornbread stuffing recipe (originally Bob's grandmother's), with the stipulation that it never be used for Ski Club dinners! A suggestion was then made that the Web Master include a section on our web site for recipes. Dave Bray will do so, if recipes are sent to him electronically.

La Petite Rouge: All arrangements are set. A letter with relevant details will be sent in January to all participants.

New Business: Christmas ornament exchange meeting: Sunday, December 17th, at 5:00, at Bob and Shirley Metcalf's. Bob Meyer was appointed official arbitrator of the ornament exchange.

January meeting: Saturday, January 13th, at Nelson's. Cross-country skiing at 2:00 and sandwiches/soup et al. at 4:00. Back-up date: Saturday, January 20th.

Spring meetings: April--Bob and Ellen Burns' (tentative); May (Derby Day)-Gene and Carolyn Kaczka's (tentative).

Bob and Susan were thanked for hosting tonight's meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Sue Gibbs
