The meeting was called to order at 7:20 pm. Thank you to Susan and Bob Meyer for hosting this racy meeting. Thank you also to Joan for calling, Dave Bray for making the tickets, and Bill Mein for being the bookie.
Financial business: the financial balance for the club stands at $83.23.
The minutes of the December 14 meeting were read without incident and duly accepted.
Thanks to the Nelsons for the great January cross country ski day.
Bob Meyer led a discussion on the La Petite Rouge February trip. A marvelous time was had by all. The snow was excellent. Regarding the facilities there was an addition to the dining area, which was great for dancing. No smoking was greatly appreciated.
There was an election of officers for next year. Shirley and Bob Metcalf gracefully accepted the nomination and were unanimously elected.
There was a discussion about the web site. The site contains an updated membership list. Dave reminded us the password for the membership list. We are all encouraged to visit the web site.
Joan tested everyone’s Derby knowledge with a trivia quiz.
After running of the Derby, Ron Frazier was declared the big winner, on collecting $18 for an investment of only $4. Carolyn Kacza asked where was her money? Only then did Gene confess to holding her winnings.
A discussion on the next meeting ensued. Dick Partch had “baad” news about the lamb roast in that he has too many commitments for July and August and is unable to take care of his usual lamb roasting duties. Carolyn and Gene then volunteered to host a pork roast and gave a tentative date of July 24.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:48pm.
