The Derby Day meeting was held at the Meyers' on May 4th. The race was enjoyed by all and the big winners for the evening were Dave and Tellie Bray who walked away with $12!
In attendance were: Dave and Tellie Bray, Bob and Ellen Burns, Marta Szoke, Bob and Sue Gibbs, Gene and Carolyn Kaczka, Bill and Trish Lewis, Judy Lowell, Joan LaComb and Paul McGrath, Dorothy Mein, Bob and Susan Meyer, Heather Nelson, Dick and Joanne Partch, Bill and Cathy Petersen and Louise Straub.
Bob and Susan Meyer were thanked for hosting the meeting and Sue Gibbs and Tellie Bray were thanked for phoning. Heather Nelson left the minutes from the December meeting at home on her way out, but recited everything she could remember from the minutes. The treasury balance was $184.50, but we owe the Meyers $16 for the brisket.
Heather Nelson informed everyone that we did not, as yet, have a President and Secretary/Treasurer for next year. Gene Kaczka graciously volunteered to perform these duties with his wife Carolyn for the next year.
Dick and Joanne Partch brought a lovely book "Petite Rouge" which we all signed to send to Mark and Darcy Koch who first found La Petite Rouge ski area years ago.
The Kaczka's will be hosting the summer picnic with a Southern pork barbecue either Aug. 3 or 17. The Meyers and the Nelsons will do the phoning.
