On The Water

The water did not go to waste, the Nelsons took advantage of it.

But On Shore

All were enjoying the hor d'oeuvres, drink and chatting. The Artichoke Dip brought by the Nelsons got rave reviews. Here is the recipe: Dan's Artichoke Dip 1 cup light mayo 1 cup grated parmesan cheese 2 cups mozzarella cheese 2 cans artichoke hearts (quartered) Garlic to taste Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

We had a special event. It was Nancy and Bill's 50th Wedding Anniversary.

While everyone else was having fun our Chef/Host and our Club President are hard at work.

The Food was Great as always.

Gene's Southern Pork Barbecue was outstanding. We ate it in sandwich buns with cold slaw and sauce. The photographers were so busy enjoying it that there are no photos.

The Kaczka’s cooked a delicious “Tennessee Pork Barbecue with a secret sauce” they used their favorite hickory wood to prepare the feast, and 27 happy, hungry faces were fed. Thanks to the Kaczka’s for inviting all of us to their wonderful, warm and happy home. Thank you for hosting with your busy schedule, you are a great example to follow.

Nancy & Bill Lenney celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a cake, which all enjoyed!

Rebecca & Eric Nelson enjoyed canoeing the waters off the Kaczka beach.

September 25, 2004, Cathy & Bill Petersen have offered their home for the September meeting. Shirley Metcalf offered to be the caller for this meeting.

The October meeting is waiting to be filled; Myers’ said they would check their schedule. Carolyn suggested perhaps someone who has not hosted should consider hosting this meeting.

November 20, 2004, Joanne & Dick Partch have offered their home for the Thanksgiving meeting, which will feature a traditional Turkey dinner. We will need callers for this meeting.

December 11 or 18, 2004, Shirley & Bob Metcalf have offered their home for the Christmas meeting. Shirley Metcalf will do the calling and Spiral Ham will be the Christmas feast.

Minutes: There was no meeting at this ski club event.
